Green Woodpecker (Picus viridis) by Army and Navy. This is a female as shown by the absence of a crimson centre to the black moustachial stripe (c.f. this male by Richardson). Nice trade label to the rear of the case. Whilst labelled for Army & Navy, the store would have almost certainly have had the work done by a major London firm of taxidermists. I have seen Homer fish with an Army & Navy label, but I have no idea who produced this particular case (N.B. the groundwork is identical to that in this unlabelled case of a Turtle Dove).
