Golden Plover (Pluvialis apricaria) by George White of Salisbury. A mature bird in winter plumage. A five-sided glass, wall hanging case, with original hanging ring. There is a small makers stamp to the left of the backboard. A metal die has been used to stamp this impression in the backboard. White often used this technique for marking his cases.
