Crucian Carp by Barnes of London

![]() |
Crucian Carp (Carassius Carassius) by William Barnes of London. An abolutely stunning case. Typically Barnes cases are not as good as those of Cooper and Homer, but this one is exceptional. It is probably the case that because it was such a rare fish extra care was taken in setting it up. There is a data label which dates the case to 1911 and a trade label, both to the inside of the case. Size 28" x 15" x 4.5".
